[Trends] My pre-fall wishlist

I know it may seems a little early at a weather point of view to start drafting a pre-fall wishlist, but believe me, by the time the temperature goes down, you may find a lot of stuff you like would be out of stock.  And I reckon it is worth to know the trend before doing any actual shopping, so I would be better prepared when refreshing my closet :)

So these are some of my picks for the coming season:


Purple
There have been saying that purple has become the new black in this coming season.  I have not been a fan of purple, I am more of a navy-blue fan.  But I am certainly open up for more different variety of items to my closet :)  And these selections look pretty too!  I wanna get the purple peplum dress so much!

Prints
Speaking of prints, my closet is overloaded with floral-print items...and they are perfectly for winter as well, but this print-items fantasy for me has slowly changed to more different variety of prints including paisley and these items below are quite nice to have, especially the pants from club monaco, which looks perfectly with a navy blazer (tempting to copy that to my office outfit inspiration)

Lace
Lace items have continued to shine throughout the season, and with more different styles and items, these three below are my choices for autumn and is suitable for different occasions too :)

Leather
Leather items are always a hit in winter, I used to have a leather jacket only but this autumn/ winder I would love to try other kind of leather appeal as well!  I want to get a leather shorts or skirt, and just by thinking I have already come up with a few different combinations that can go with leather bottom!

 As sidetrack, I ran into this pair of wedges when I was browsing the club monaco fall list.  It was absolutely stunning!  So chic and so stylish :)  Too bad that I can't see it in store yet and it may not last very long as it's going to turn cold in a one or two months...

[Trends] Christmas is around so it is the time to look glamourous!

As you may notice, it is approaching to the end of November, in a sense meaning that Christmas is on its way!  A big Hurray!  My favourite time of the year!  And at the same time, meaning a lot of partying and evening out are happening.  On last week's net-a-porter, it is all about the PARTY issue!  Sequins, Glitter, Feathers!  Here ya go!  Not wanting to look like ths rest of the crowd?  One of key point to stand out is to "think out of the box".  How to look glamourous when wearing something special?  The editor has pointed on several key issues in rocking the party:
- Ankle boots
- Shirt + Sequined pants
- Showing off your shoulder
- Silk Scarf

Therefore, here comes my selections of the party must-wear (I have focused on ASOS this time since this is so my favourite recently: free shipping, on-going sale...it is just so tempting!):

1. Sequins!  Christmas is such a wonderful time to wear sequins and people would not think you are over-dressed for the event.  Also, especially when you are partying and you are so going to stand out from the crowd as you will be literally shinning from those reflection from sequins.

2.  Party Dress
If you are not exactly a fan of sequin, you could try buy getting a special designed party dress.  I am completely thrilled when I see these two dresses.  Remember the movie Black Swan?  This is such a hit.  I have read from the news last month that it is the number one costume for Halloween 2011.  And let's make it through Christmas by getting a fluffy white swan look alike party dress, or a trendy black dress with chiffron see-through long dress

3.  Clutch
You must have something to hold your phone or some money so you can go home after partying or at least get a taxi.  And on this festive season and when social media is a tool for you to show how popular you are (yes iphone upload on facebook), clutch is just about right to hold your essentials.  These clutches below can match with different style of your outfit and my favourite one is the one on bottom right corner.  This wooden clutch is so my style and chic, which can even match my daily outfit too...(oh maybe i should get it?)

4.  Shoes
I know Flats are good for our body and comfy but when it comes to partying, who cares about comfortness?  We are definitely getting a pair of high heels which can help shaping our body.  But dont worry girls, Platform Shoes is our new bff, we can look tall, with beautiful curves and still look stunning.  Also, as mentioned above, ankle boot is a hit, so let see what I picked:

5.  Accessories
How can you not complete your outfit by adding a final touch - Accessories.  Every accessories count.  You would look too blunt if you have got the perfect dress, perfect clutch/ shoes but just missing a piece of jewelry!  To furnish your look, add (a) final piece of jewelry to rock your outfit and be absolutely fabulous.

[Daily Outfit] (28) City Chic on a working day.

{Cardigan : Boutique at CWB // Top : Chaktuchak Market at Thailand // Skirt Pant : Boutique at Wan Chai // Oxford Shoes : Gmarket // Little Red Bag : Zara }



I got inspiration on this outfit from browsing Gmarket (the korean online shopping website) and while watching Korean drama.  I have been so addicted to Korean style of clothing lately and also a bit of K-pop, a bit of K-drama.  Which in a sense stimulate my desire in learning Korean, and being able to understand what people say and able to read Gmarket.

And something more about my outfit, I want to look formal yet causal on a working day, so I dig out this cardigan from the bottom of my closet as to match with this vest.  I like the pattern of the vest though I have to admit I look awful when I wore it alone.  It has to be matched with some other clothes.

Just a quick update, before Summer ends.....
I got this outfit from American Eagle and I love it because its bright orange colour plus the mini floral print.  I have been longing for a bright colour outfit for the whole Summer and since somehow (for some perculiar reason) i think bright flourescent colours go along with either whiter or darker skin.  When I fall between the two, it makes me feel that I am not quite suitable for that....But when I first saw this dress at American Eagle, there is an inner voice inside my head saying "pick me pick me!" (well I am being over-exaggerating but it is almost the case) Then I brought it inside the fitting room and immediately falling for it and got it right at the cashier waiting to take it home.
And that's the full story.

嗚呼呼，這是上次生日閃光文的下集 - 閃光生日穿什麼?

平時週末都是會以一個裝扮得較causal
但閃光天當然要穿得比較隆重
說到底也是到意大利餐廳進食
也不能穿球鞋短褲吧

那大家應該有小小的端倪到我的Outfit吧
對!
我穿上了十年難得一穿的高跟鞋! (!!)
要知道由於我的體重, 加上走路的方式不太對, 我是很小很小穿高跟鞋的

但天知道這麼難得的日子, 當然要悉心打扮一下的
身上穿的是Zara買的連身裙, 有點 "仙"的感覺吧? ((在說笑 XDD))
Ankle boot是Topshop的戰利品，想要麂皮的鞋子很久了
所以一在topshop網站看到便買了, 沒想太多

由於身上穿上的都是大地色系, 以米色裸色白色為主
所以在配件上加上了一點顏色, 配了一條棕色的皮帶, 以免全身的色彩太單調
以營造涼夏優雅的都會感

袖口的ruffles令我整天走路都好像是飄飄然
真的很"仙"唷   XDDD

[Trends] Coach Classics is back!

I have been a fan of vintage bags, in fact, not limited to vintage bags but I totaly adore clothes and dressing styles coming from the 70s and 80s.  But I have never got a vintage leather bag.  Part of it is due to the price, and availability in town, and also - some are not really in good quality.  Therefore I am thrilled when I read this news at net-a-porter.  What is better than re-make and reissue of a real classics?  This Coach Classics features a collection of the signatures Coach leather bags which are once of a hit - The Madison Satchel, The Stewardess Bag and the Duffle.
I like what Honor Riley said "The thing about a Coach bag is that it's unminstakable yet very understated.  It has its own identity but it doesn't fight with anything you are wearing."
It is plain and in incredibly good quality.  What more can we ask for a vintage bag?  Something that you can pass to your daughter perhaps?  Something that last for years?  Something in good made?  And this bag can definitely do it all.

I found that Small Shoulder Purse amazingly beautiful.  I have already matched several outfits inside my head with this bag (!!).  Both the brown and red one.  I may pick the red one eventually (well...after I have done a bit more savings....)   But the style goes well with a lot of my existing clothes.  Only one thing to consider...how can I fit all my necessities into one small tiny bag?

Gmarket 五月號

又到了一月一次的gmarket分享了
之前4月的因為太懶所以沒有寫
但因為5月的這次買了很多高質的物品所以忍不住不寫 (其實是因為上次太懶了!!!)
這次買了很多東西
連Gmarket的盒子都由中盒變成大盒了(!!)

這次和男友的姊姊一起買
買了十多件items, 買到要用大箱 :P

由於夏天快來臨了 (其實已經是夏天了!!)
這次買的是較夏日的服裝
而這輪的質素都頗佳, 也沒有送錯貨的事情出現 (超感動!!)


這次共買了兩件恤衫 (一件雪紡一件是較粗身的布料 <-用來作歐美風的配搭真是一流) 兩條正紡長裙 (是說今年流行長裙而且現在是夏天...不買白不買) 兩雙鞋子 (一平底一涼鞋) 兩件tee, 四雙耳環 (好. 數到我有些心虛了...) 一件薄冷外套
(到底我是不是每種單品都要買兩樣才心息?!還要到現在才發現...)

但....
每件都很有質感而且跟網站上的照片一模一樣
(這就是買正韓貨的好處吧, 都不用怕收到貨不對辦的東西)
還有!
物超所值!

先看平底鞋
我還沒有開封因為這幾天下雨我捨不得穿新鞋子去擋雨
包裝精美還有很貼心地附上一對半碼鞋墊
連運費都只是100多塊!
真是價廉物美 (我真的好像在替他們打廣告似的)

第二雙鞋是一對涼鞋
老實說, 我平常不多穿涼鞋
可能我是那種走路太粗魯的人吧而且還要行街時常常會踩到身邊人的人
所以我很少穿涼鞋
但由於年紀漸大想買一雙較端莊的涼鞋而又看到一個無名blog後就莫名其妙被燒到了

再來就是恤衫
這件的質料比我想像的較硬
買的時候是看中下擺能左右搭的要點
這幾個月來每看一期with都燒很大呃
但比我想像的要大和硬, 穿起來我覺得像歐美風多過日系
所以我都只加一條belt營造簡單的歐美風格
不過其實我覺得有沒有belt都好看 (是我太bias嗎?)

心郁郁下忍不住買了兩條回家
一條較短一條較長
一條淨色一條波點
穿起來也有不一樣的感覺

這條看起來較有氣質
是從上年開始便很愛的裸色系
只要加一件普通的白tee和拖鞋便可出街了
很假日的一套裝束

綠色波點的這一條就較年輕和時尚
和白波鞋較配

接著是兩件tee,
灰色的是上網看過的, 覺得好看而且又平就放入購物車
而白色的tee是與上圖點點綠長裙同店
麻豆兩件一件穿的時候超燒
跟著就整套打包了~
由於兩件都沒有穿上, 就沒有穿搭圖了~

我想......我真的是買得太多了...
打這篇敗文都用了一整天的時間....
下次.....我會買少D架喇.....(聽住先喇!!)

[Daily outfit] Don't think, just shoot

I have been pretty addicted to lomography lately and am thinking to get a Diana F. but before i do that, i just remembered that i got an actionfilm as a bday gift from my boyfriend two years ago. therefore i have just decided that i am going to utilize it more before getting a new one.
I love using film camera, although it's not cheap in getting them printed.  but the theory behind fascinates me - DON'T THINK, JUST SHOOT.

Since it's a causal day with photo-taking I have dressed in a causal way.  I have tied my scarf backward and make it looks like a vest : P
and i like it!
: )
in that way, my tee+jeans style can look less blend and with more layering

everything you encounter in life can be so inspiring when you pay attention to small details in life.
that's why I like Lomography. dont think, just shoot.

 After taken a roll, now i am trying to take some black-and-white photos and i am so excited since i am getting the photos in two weeks time (who do i have to wait for so long??it doesnt make sense!!!)

road signs.  we went hiking on that day and i have brought my lomo with me.  i am so glad that i did that.  there are lots of wonderful things that i took that day.  although i have mistakenly unwind my rolls in a way that i missed almost half of the photos i taken.... :(

[Daily outfit] Here comes the causal Friday series again....

Here comes my Causal Friday series again!
For some reason,  I think Spring has almost disappeared in Hong Kong (or only last for a week or two), most of the time, I just feel that it just jumps from Winter directly to Summer
and so that my clothes featuring in the deary weekly causal Friday session is slowly switching from tights to short skirts...

I wore the skirt that i bought from Cotton on when it's on a 30% off easter sale.  it matches well with almost all of my summer tees
I got the tee from gmarket and it's in quite good bargain, costing me less than hkd100 (with postage included!)
the scarf is just an add-on in case i felt a bit chilly when i went indoor with all those air-con
but i think it matches well with the outfit.

top: gmarket, skirt: cotton on, flats: gmarket (again!!)

[Daily Outfit] Somewhere between Spring and Summer

哈哈又是H & M的blazer
沒辦法近期太愛了

週末的天氣不錯
有初夏的感覺

由於是Rugby 7的關係
四周也有很多外國人
令我也很想湊湊熱鬧
穿穿歐美風

星期五剛在pull and bear買了一條牛仔短褲
是營造歐美風的一個重要完素


但體弱的我擔心自己會冷親, 所以出門前都是加了一條絲巾
這條絲巾是在gmarket買的
蠻好配搭的

[Daily Outfit] Preppy School Style*

今天是星期五
決定是causal style

又想穿穿新買的H & M blazer
所以要走走preppy school style
以配合懶洋洋的一星期的last working day

用了間條tee加zara trf的啡色傘裙配以navy blazer和在淘寶買的復古袋 (但已經很久沒在淘寶買東西了因為愈來愈貴!)
令我的星期五在仍有微冷和潮濕的天氣下也過得愉快

gmarket已成為一月一次的例行活動了* (呵呵)
每一次收到的時候也很開心 : )
而且真的是名副其實的"開箱文"
因為gmarket的箱子真的有夠大
但一開便會發現空了一半...

這次只買了幾件衣服
和有了新嘗試!
就是..........買了文具!

結果也不錯呀~除了運費貴了點之外其實我是很喜歡gmarket的
這次買了一件上衣一件連身裙和一條裙一個袋子
全部都大愛!

收到後整個大愛
顏色很漂亮, 型也看起來很好
不像很廉價的感覺

而且背起上來也蠻好看
但唯一缺點是比較小, 裝不下很多東西

2.  花邊領連身裙
其實當初一開始時是想買長袖的
但經過一輪格價後找到一家店是有賣短袖的
既然快到春天就決定買短袖
幸好粗臂如我 (信我吧我做開運動雙手都不幼的...)
也可以穿上且手臂位有位剩 :P

 

3. 黑色波浪領白襯衫
這件也是另一大愛!
可以估計到會好好襯 :)

4.酒紅色半身裙
這季酒紅色成了我的新歡~
繼上次gmarket買了一件酒紅色的cardigan後便深深地喜歡上這個會讓人看起來會有好氣色的色系
質地是有點Knitted的感覺
